I just learnt the hard way that dirty glasses can cause beer to go flat quickly.
So what is the best way to clean beer glasses? I have heard that dishwashing liquid shouldnt be used? If not what can be used instead?

g'day trueman,
try Wander Premium Bottle Wash Powder. ( 90% Alkaline Salts )
1/4 of a teaspoon, fill with very hot water and let stand for 10min. ( my fave holds 750ml )
slowly cool glass and rinse with cold a couple of times. Perfect
this is the only Wander product i use by the way

I got his method from here some ware and it works a treat.
Wash glass in a weak mix of your sanitizer using a bottle brush.
Then rinse in a weak mix of water and vinegar (cap full of vinegar to half a sink).
Then rinse under cold water and leave to drain and dry.

Ohh, Grabman, I wanted to tell my Rum & Coke story again.
I've since moved away from this method, mainly cause I've stopped dirinking Coke.
Cheers,
Greg.

Dunno if it is a dozen, didn't your Mum ever tell you it is rude to count? (that or I've lost count by then).
Rum goes well with ginger beer, soda water or just ice. Lemonade and Rum comes out a little sweet.
Cheers,
Greg.

BUndy and Bitter Lemon is ok,
especially if you got a cold, the bundy numbs everything and the bitter lemon sorts out the cold!

sodium percarbonate (napisan) works a treat...
that is to soak your beer glasses overnight in.. not to mix with bundy
altho it couldn't make it taste any worse imo

I find that the dishwasher works wonders. There is a big myth about dishwashers, but if you use the tablets with the powerballs, the glass comes out magnificently clean, and the beer has a great head. Aside from that, when I only rinse, I use cold water exclusively.
As for Bundy, mix it with some pineapple juice. This works better with the OP.

I just rinse in hot water. The main thing i've found is to let the glass completly dry before putting in the fridge/freezer.

Agrred Tipsy, if the glass is wet no matter how good the beer, the head goes immediately. Dry them and put them in the freezer to cool

I've been putting my glasses in the freezer prior to beer but I was just wondering...
Isn't a frosty glass potentially a wet glass and so once you pour the beer in the frost becomes water and thus kills the head?

When you get your glass from the freezer, the amount of water that condenses on the glass is negligable. I wouldn't be concerned about it. Just pour in your beer, and enjoy.

When the beer is so cold you get a brain freeze it is just right. Frosty, frosty, frosty.
Love it
