You can't get much more rock'n roll than Radio Birdman.

Too true BM.
Though having said that, I have seen hundreds if not thousands of bands, (including Birdman and various other offshoots- Hitmen, New Christs, Screaming Tribesmen etc) and Rose Tattoo were probably the loudest thing ever. And they kicked arse.
This was a benefit for Pete Wells, their original guitarist, who has cancer.
Saw the Tatts, Beast Of Bourbon, Paul Kelly, Tim Rogers, Ian Rilen & a bunch of others.

Was that the gig where Tex perkins was abusing people for not turning up and abusing the ones who did

Yeah the tatts have got a real reputation specially among overseas people they had real tattoos before every shitty arse hollywood celeb had one just to be tribal. I like Nashville Pussys version of rock n roll outlaw i bet Blaine would have wished to be there!!

Thats why they call me one of the boys.

Never heard of any of them , but they do
sound like a bunch of A/Holes.
but I have heard of the term rock & roll
is'nt it some form of tribal dance ?
can remember a bloke called George Formby
who used to do it whilst playing the Ukelaly
or perhaps it was a Banjo.

Ho ho.
That'll be a "ukelele", not "Ukelaly".
Nice to see the old folks keeping active.

I saw them last year (admittedly only at the Queenscliff Music Festival). They were absolutely awesome. Loved them. As soon as they started playing, the guys moved towards the stage and the chicks left!

I'd forgotten that. I used to drink it with him sometimes when I lived in Sydney- sparkling ale, always, and not too many of them.

How did you come by that very arcane bit of trivia, Goatsby?

Saw Radio Birdman last night in Perth - they were smokin'. The band is still as tight as ever.

Looking forward to the new album and seeing them play again.

Last time I saw them was at the Perth BDO in the late 90's....

My night's so dark & empty when you're not on TV"

I saw Rose Tattoo play a couple of years back, supporting Dropkick Murphy's. Was a rather interesting mix of bands. Rose Tattoo have been one the best bands I have seen live.
