Czech pilsner- Is it ok?

Hey,
Just put down a bit of a concoction: A Brewcraft czech pilsner with 500g wheat malt extract, 500g dry light malt and 500g dex. Added 12.5g saaz hops and used kit yeast. Took initial SG reading and adjusted for temp and it's at 1050. I'm a newbie, but it seems really high to me... Am I gonna end up with a 6.5% pilsner?? I'm really hoping not, i was after something refreshing for summer....Also, what temp range should I be trying to keep this one? 20-22 or lower? Not really sure on the type of yeast contained in the kit.
Cheers
John
