Ebay Capper complete or not???

I just bought a capper press online (ebay)
but think that the head might be missing a rubber part.
Can anyone tell me if there should be a rubber
part in the housing where the crown seal goes. Ie. the contact spot.
On this one there is a metal housing (like the hand capper)
with a central 12 mm diameter metal bar sticking down inside.
Is this as clear as mud?
If anyone could shed some light on its design?
I'll head into the HB shop on the weekend to look again at a new one..

My bench capper and hammer capper both have a rubber washer inside the bell, but my two handed capper does not. So two out of three says should have a rubber washer inside the bell.

Silk, I do not know the Eco Matic, but my Super Automatic has no washer inside the bell.
Stick a cap inside it- is that 12mm metal piece a magnet? The SA has one, makes it easier to cap on your own.

I would have thought only the hammer type hand capper hab a washer to help absorb force of hammer etc! You don't get this force/impact with lever capper.

Thanks all for the assurances. I gave the eco-Matic a good testing on the weekend and it works a treat.
FYI
Just a small question on technique.
It has a magnet in the bell. Is it better to place the crown seal into the bell first then lower to the bottle or place the cap onto the bottle first?

Place it in the bell, on the magnet and lower it onto the bottle. Once it's on the magnet you can slide the whole assembly down a notch or two for a guaranteed seal, even on twist tops.

Whatever you do, don't try and stick the bottle on the magnet and lower it onto the cap.

Lucky you told me undies I almost tried to hammer the bottle onto the bell using a brick nailed to a 4X2

Sometimes I've found when things get a bit sticky (with spillages due to confusion over drinking the beer and bottling the beer) I like to make sure of the seal.
This method makes dam sure those suckers stay put.
If I smash a few bottles I just use the modified vaccuum cleaner the 'supersuckorator'
to filter the glass out and re-bottle the beer for the in-laws.
I like to use the old truism "if it gets stuck -force it, if it breaks -it needed fixing anyway"

I would delete the moonie guy and his posts. He is just trying to get his pagerank on search engines up by posting crap in a whole bunch of forums with a signature that links back to his sites (i.e. in his signature 'poker game nfl gambling')
