After setting up my mobile brew trolley, really the old PA trolley from school. Idea is I can do extract and/or all grains where I like now, not confined to bench in garage etc. Can even roll it onto trailer or ute etc and take it out for the day!

Then getting fermenter fridge setup I though I'd post a few pictures of the bits and pieces I've put together.

Very impressive grab....sounds like the 'brew fueled desire' came in handy!

So you are using a keg for a kettle??

That's right MHD, cut the top out and they make ideal kettles, good size and tough as they come!!

How much did it cost and where did you get it??

keg didn't cost anything, was given to me. It's an old Caffrey's keg from UK, costs more to ship them back empty than it does to buy new ones over there!!

only cost was to have top cut of using plasma cutter and to have stainless nipple welded into side for tap.

maybe not the picture yardie, but my local HBS is going to run an all grain day soon. I'll just load my setup onto trailer and take it with me, easy.

or can take to friends house to brew there if need be!

the pic 'Still Cooking', is that a std bbq or did you fit a bigger burner to it ?

the brand is Jackeroo or something isn't it ?

Yardie,
The standard burner doesn't put out enough heat, I tried using it and it just won't do the job. So yes I put a bigger burner in, I'm using a 2 ring burner unit from a BBQ shop. In hinsite though should have gone for next one up a 3 ring combination to get more heat!

i think there is an old keg at work so the burner i've got won't cut it either.

do you find your kettle too high on that stand ?
i'm not vertically challenged btw, just thinking about 20 odd litres of boiling wort and the mini-me tearing past on a skateboard etc.

kettle was just right on the stand, it's now a little higher in the mobile trolley to allow for flow to chillzilla and then into fermenter.

Will post a few more pic's soon when I do a trial run to make sure all is working correctly.
