Was up at Grand Ridge Brewery today having lunch and I noticed they have Beerfest 2006 -- a homebrew competition -- on February 11 and 12. Says $1k in prizemoney for a $5 entry fee.
I asked the beer wench for more details, but she didn't have any (then again, apart from her looks and her ability to pull a beer, I don't think she had much else). It's at the Grand Ridge Brewery in Mirboo North. No details on the GRB website either ...
I don't tend to think any of my brewskies are exceptional, but for a $5 layout I might just try it on with the big boys of homebrew.
Anyone else from here going/thinking of going?

Wasn't planning on going until you mentioned it, then realised I'm in Warrnambool that weekend anyway.

So won't be able to make it.

It's in Gippsland, Victoria. About two hours south-east of Melbourne.
