Scharers Lager - Three Sheets - Quayle Ale

Post by shazzam »

Hi guys,

wanting recipes for
Scharer's Lager (George 4th picton & Australian Hotel, the rocks fame)

Three Sheets
and Quayle Ale from the Lord Nelson Brewery, the rocks

Any help would be greatly appreciated

spent Sunday afternoon @ George 4th, Picton drinking Scharers lager
- That was a dfficult day - I was  designated driver so I had to grab a couple of long necks
It is a nice day out - they make 3 beers - the lager + Booragorang bock which is a lovely dark/black as well as a low alcohol black (3%)
Two ravenous Ambers, with williamette, english crystal & chocolate

Yes... The Scharer's Larger is nice... No idea on an exact recipe but here are some thoughts:

the Yeast strain definitely a eastery strain... so no using kit yeasts if you want an authentic copy... I think they also use some wheat malt...
Fermenting: Responsibly American Brown (Drink Responsibly) My first AG!
Bottled: Fuggles Larger/ale, Honey I'm Home Ale, Entropy Wheat, Dark Matter Ale, The Beer that Should Not Be (IPA)
