Hi,
anyone living in or around Brisbane, who can recommened a good homebrew shop? So far i havn`t found one who sells liquid yeast, or stores it`s hops properly.
How about mail ordering liquid yeast from Grumpy`s, etc. .Will the yeasr last?

I usually go to either the store at Kedron or Chapel Hill. they both keep their hops in the fridge. i have no idea about liquid yeasts though.

I go to brewer's choice at gaythorne. pretty sure I saw some liquid yeast there last time.

they have a few shops about. give david a bell on davidk@brewerschoice.com.au.

if what you need isn't in the brewer's choice nearest to you, he will try to get it there from one of their other shops.

least, that what he told me.

I'd give kedron a big swerve - last time I checked it didn't stock liquid yeast because "there is only so much you can do for the general public".

Quality Home Brew Supplies Tel. 07 38085198
It's in Slacks Creek (Danny or Lindsay are part owners)

This is the best shop I've ever been too, if they don't sell it it ain't worth buying. They have a selection of Wyeasts, saf yeasts and hops all stored in the fridge, they also sell alot of grains which they will crack for you no extra charge. All the prices are very reasonable, actually cheaper than I've seen else where.
I'm not affiliated just a very happy customer.

not too many different types though - they admit the chappel hill store is the place to go for yeast
