Mexican Cerveza + Honey?

I had a taste of one of my mates Cerveza brews the other day, and I quite liked it. He said he used BE2, some cinnamon and 250g of honey. It's been sitting around for 7 weeks, and I must say i was impressed with a 7 week beer being so nice. 
Anyone else ever used honey in a Cerveza brew? Or cinnamon for that matter...
