What do you pay?

Post by Hashie »

Just curious what, or how much other brewers pay for kits.

I just bought 2 X Coopers Canadian Blonde from my local Coles for $10. 59 each (shelf price, not special) and a Kg of Dex. for $2.49.

Is that cheap or average?

Sounds about average for both of those items from Coles.

The Canadian Blonde is an excellent drop and all you need is the dextrose and it'll ferment into a crisp refreshing brew. If you really want to improve it though, useabot 700gm of dextrose, 350gm of clover honey and use Saflager yeast instead of the ale yeast provided. Ferment it at about 10 to 12 degrees and you will have a mouth watering drop.

Same price as my local Coles too. Sometimes they have it on special, but I haven't tried it yet.

My local Coles must be a bargain at $9.99... imagine what you can do with that extra 50 cents.
