ANZAC Day

Shame on me...

I was considering a brewday tomorrow. Started the yeast, collected the ingredients, etc. Then I realised...

I usually attend the ANZAC Day parade, if I'm not working. This year I have the day free and thought "brewday"...

Am I hooked on this hobby? Yes...

LEST WE FORGET...

The Diggers would understand the need to get the beer, surely.

Cheers,
Greg

2 cans per man, per day, perhaps.

Indeed, we should all raise a glass of homebrew.

Sorry ANZAC day is cancelled for some of us. Bloody Monica!!

And worse I have had to take full kegs out of the beer fridge so it could be relocated.

But we will battle on.

Welcome to the forum, pixelboy.

Well, I figured I could do the lot tomorrow.

Go to the march, few coldies with lunch, then home to get the brew going.

Learning heaps here too.

Bad luck, Shaun. I heard about that Monica.

Hope you've got some where safe and stocked with beer... :(

Sorry guys, but there is absolutely NO EXCUSE for missing the dawn service on Anzac Day.

I am an avid brewer and an even bigger p...s head, but I never, absolutely never miss the dawn service at my local RSL.

Well I was at the dawn service, marched with my grandfathers medals proudly on the chest. Cam home at 7:30 this morning, bottle up a brew, back to the morning service to march again. Home at midday. put down a new brew in one of the fermenters, then had a couple of hours sleep. I'll sleep well tonight. Long day, but for a worthy cause.

Was at the dawn service, where I proudly marched with my fathers medals and then joined my 2 brothers, wife, daughter, grandson and nephew at Drummoyne RSl, where we had breakfast and then drank several toasts to all the fallen and past diggers.

Anzac Day, to me at least, is a daya to be tresured and remeber all of those brave men and women who gave their lives so that we may live in freedom today.

LEST WE FORGET!

Well Monica turned out to be a breeze and a bit of rain by the time it got to Darwin (not so lucky for other parts of the Territory) and a few of the old diggers here are pissed at the RSL for cancelling the days events. They had there own dawn service anyway.
