Dogger Dan's honey ale

I saw Dogger Dan's recipe posted recently and decided to give it a go.

After just over a month from start, I'm already running out. This beer is a prize winner. In fact I'm now preferring this beer to even the commercial beers I usually buy, including the foreign ones.

The only little drawback was the head didn't last long. Perhaps DD has an answer.

I like a beer moustache!!

Adding more grains like Crystal Malt, Vienna or Munich and Cara Pils will aid in head retention.

Glad you liked it

Heh, funny, I just tried to brew Dogger's Maple Honey beer too :)

Mine's still sitting in the fermenter, should be ready for bottling in a couple of days time. It does have a bit of a 'burnt' aftertaste, even though I swear I didn't burn any malt on the bottom of the can during the 1 hour boil. Is this supposed to happen Dogger? Otherwise, it does taste pretty nice, and I can't wait to share it with my friends :D

Good question! I can't find the recipe either. I must be there somewhere ...

Anyone?

Oliver

PS I moved this to the recipes section. I'm slowly going through old posts, from before the recipes section was created, and moving posts to where they belong.

You mean this one?

That's the one I've been going by anyway!
