Thanks DDD,
Great photos,
They really help a beer novice like me,
they say a picture is better than a thousand words.
Keep up the good work

Fantastic - thanks for this. I too am new to brewing and to this site, but one of the great things I've found about this forum is that the members have a wealth of knowledge and experience that they seem to be keen to share. Thanks for helping out poor simple folk like me who read and re-read trying desparately to translate instructions into practical images.

A couple of questions though:
1. What type of thermostat is that, and where can I get one from?
2. Why the glad wrap?
I haven't gone through the rest of your site yet, so sorry if you have explained this somewhere else.

Hal.

The thermostat is an Adloheat

You can get them from Grain & Grape

A lot of people use gladwrap with a couple of pin holes in it instead of the fermenter lid. I believe the o ring from the lid is used to keep the gladwrap in place
