I've got one but only used it for 1 brew.
It worked great with a heat pad. Need to try it with a fridge.

I have been using one for some time now and have found that it controls the fridge temp very well. I have never experianced the temp to deviate outside the set range.

No problems here. Best bet is to head down to Dick Smith or Jaycar and pickup a jiffy box and a couple of cable glands to enclose the fridgemate.
Took me about half an hour to mount it all up and I'm glad I have.
You could leave it as it is, but with 240v floating around your better off to enclose it to keep yourself safe

Don't have a problem with ventilation as it doesn't seem to get too hot, but might need to double check over summer.

Other than turning the freezer on and off then no.

I went into my nearest electrical place to get the stuff to hook it up and inside was a local sparky waiting to be served. 10 minutes later he had hooked it up for me. I didn't even have to ask

Good to hear guys. I'm really impressed with the quality of the unit. I've seen the other types of units in my local HBS for like $120 and always put it off by the price.
