Ok, started with a mix of...
Cooper Dark Ale
500g Dex
300g Light Malt
200g Dark Malt
Kit Yeast
Made to 23L as per instructions
OG 1.044
FG 1.008 (well after 48 hours anyways and thats lower than the brew booster said it would be anyways)
So my question is, Is it possible for a brew like this to finish fermentation in only 48 hours? my fermenter stopped bubbling 1/2 way through the second day which would have been about 40 hours.
This is only my second beer that i've done and found it interesting that the fermentation lock actually stopped bubbling...
I just hope that all this is normal and i'm worying for now reason.
Thanks guys

Well my first HB was the Cooper's Lager that came with the microbrew kit and I had it at 30 degrees (in a hot box with a 40 watt light globe).
It brewed in 48 hours. Didn't taste great but it's all gone (after giving it out to my mates - many said it was the greated beer they ever had, but I think they were trying to be polite and too scared to tell me it tasted like shit!)

Lord Azrael, I made a 15L batch with the Cooper's yeast recently and it was done in about 36 hours.
Its a real speed demon at those temps. Try to keep it around 20 or so.

thanks for all the replies.
If it tastes dodgy it's all good... i'm not the one drinking it
it's for the in-laws. But i racked it last night and will leave it for a week or so until bottling... but at least my primary is now free to get a cider under way for me

Coopers dark ale in forty eight hours.
Earlier this year, around march,i had brews finishing in 32 hours using black rock ale yeasts. They didn,t taste the best, but were drinkable.I managed 11 brews that month using the same yeast, they all tasted so so,but i drank them.
