While we're on the subject of Coopers recipes, does anyone have one for Coopers Mild? All-grain or all-extract preferred.
Thx!

I've got a mild ale in the fermenter at home - extract and spec. Not actually trying to replicate the Coopers product. I've not sampled it yet, but I'll get you the details when I get home.
Cheers,
Greg

I just put that recipe through the calculator and it came out to 4.7% with an OG of 1.047
1.75kg of LDME in that recipe gives 1.036

23Ltr recipie. Full boil.
2.5 x 2.2 x 42 / 6 = 1038.5
Allow for some reduction from say too much water at start of boil then some left behind in kettle etc.
Temp adjusted hydro reading was 1036. FG 1010.
Cheers,
Greg

Coopers Mild Ale
This ale is the product of brewing with a selection of barley and wheat malt, and with no added sugar. This traditional brewing approach provides the smooth malt character which is balanced by a triple hopping of the brew with Pride of Ringwood and Saaz hops. The brew has fermented similarly to its stablemates Pale and Sparkling Ale, with the customary secondary fermentation in the bottle and can. Alc/Vol 3.5%
OK, here's what I'm going to try (or maybe an all-grain equivalent):
1.5kg tin Coopers Liquid Light Malt Extract
500g LDME
150g Crystal malt
50g Chocolate malt
Triple hoped, with Pride of Ringwood and Saaz, according to the coopers description, so I might try:
5g POR @ 60 mins, 10 IBU
10g POR @ 15 mins, 9 IBU
15g Saaz @ 5 mins, 2 IBU
Total, 21 IBU.
