putting leftover yeast to good use

ok so we had one of those really awesome sunday morning ideas haha.
i put down a DAB imitation yesterday and was left with the yeast that came in the kit as i used a separate yeast. so the bright idea was this: get a 2L orange juice bottle, put about 600g of coopers brewing sugar in the bottom of it, pour in about 100ml of orange juice, fill about 3/4 with water, mix it all up then add about half the leftover yeast pack to the mix.

now will this make some kind of dodgy prison wine? haha
and if so, how long will it ferment for? i have no way of really testing it.

Dont know about the orange juice thing  , but what I used to do when I was brewing kits is to throw the kit
yeast into the boil to act as a nutrient for my better yeast.
Cheers

Just make sure to use an airlock, or to release the pressure occasionally! Otherwise it will end up all over your kitchen.

It works a treat though. Just ferment as per usual, and you should get a nice alcoholic orange-ade.
