Add some oysters?

On a more serious note, I don't think I have ever seen a passion fruit, so I'm no good

Dogger,

Passionfruit is also known as "granidella" in some countries.

Nope,

I've seen a couple of bannanas recently though.

Hard to get the exotic fruit up here unless it comes in a can or has about 6 months shelf life. Even then it is bloody dear.

now this is my kind of recipe and given the work of Mr Backlane who originally posted it at AHB we suspect it will be top notch - if only it had more chicken in it

For some reason I wasnt watching this topic anymore, anyway I will give it a try for the gf :P
Didnt I hear someplace that softdrinks had something in them to kill bacteria?
What is an AAA hop teabage?

Ok here is my plan (or what i had lying around)
1 dented tin of tooheys special draught the westbrew guy gave me for making me drive all the way back there to get a regulator
1 westbrew kit converter czech pilzner my brother left here last year when he moved out
flat 2L bottle of passiona
Maybe some hops if I go past the homebrew shop
Lemon or orange peel for something to try

Any ideas if this will this work at all? Or taste like rubbish

That flat stuff, was it carbonated and does it have a lot of acid in it cause it could stall the fermentation

I havent got the passiona/pasito yet, my plan was to get it, then leave the lid off for a day or 2 to make it go flat. Not sure how much acid it has but the the recipe link seemed to work out.

Ahem.
You are a brave man, Lebowksi.
If I was someone who may have had some involvement in the brew referred to, and who may indeed have a bottle sitting on the kitchen table right this very minute, I would suggest:
shake the Pasito well, release the cap a little, shake again, release, etc until flat- takes about 15 minutes
don't forget that the Pasito will give you 200g of lovely sucrose, and adjust your other sugar additions accordingly
use cracked coriander seed, not ground
use orange peel with no pith
AAA hops are quite bitter- maybe try Cascade
if possible rack after 10 days or so, leaving the hops coriander & peel in primary.

and finally do not expect it to taste remotely like anything else you have ever brewed. In fact don't even taste it for at least 2 or 3 months in the bottle.

I dont like coriander much so will probably give the seeds a miss (do they make the brew spicy?) Might not even use any hops seeing I dont have any here and I'm lazy :P

Didnt turn out as bad as I imagined. Could drink it but wouldnt want to really have more than a couple of glasses at a time. It's all gone now because most of it ended up in a bucket as I was trying to get new keg system working and was pouring a bunch of foam :P

i can vouch for the fact that it wasn't too bad, hillbilly and I tasted it when looking at Lebowski's keg setup on Saturday. Big aroma! but not overly strong passionfruit taste, would have been ok ice cold on a hot day!!
