Was wondering who has put down one of these Kits. What is recommended to be used (Yeast etc...) I am trying to get a really tasty brew happening that is close to the Hoegaarden GC.
Cheers in advance

Haven't done this one, but I did their Oud Vlaams Broun.
The yeast certainly wasn't anything to write home about.
Shoulda taken a culture from a St. Bernardus bottle or something.
You could try making a starter from a Hoegaarden Grand Cru, but Wyeast 3944 Belgian Witbier or 3463 Forbidden Fruit would probably be the biz.

Apparently Hoegaarden uses a bottling strain for all its beers, so culturing from them may not achieve the desired results.

I have tried the Brewferm Tripple and also thought the yeast was the weakpoint. I was thinking of using a Chimay Blue stubby as a starter if I ever try it again. Not cheap but I'd drink most of it first !!!
