Fridge types

Hi, I'm looking around at second hand fridges. I see that some are fan forced, and seem to have their cooling pipes hidden away so they blow the cold air out and around. Other have a bloody great cooling panel/pipes attached to the inside back wall.

Can anyone recommend which is better for brewing? I thought perhaps the fan forced would be better since it would distribute the cold evenly. The thought of a big cooling panel almost up against one side of the fermenter makes me a little concerned.

thanks!

My fridge has a large cooling plate on the back inside wall, that sits close to the back side of the fermenter and Ive not had problems with my fridge freezing anything yet, and Ive racked at 3C for a week.

I could very well be wrong, not being a fridgey at all.

But the hidden pipes etc is a more advanced (modern) set-up and would be more efficient at cooling I reckon.

It's what I would go for thats for sure.
