Anyone got any good recipes for an English brown ale? Preferably partial, as I don't have enough time for AG at the moment.

Here's my American Brown Ale I made a couple of months ago, Search the "what's next" thread for tasting notes.
Anyway The important bits are the quantities of light malt and the amount of choc malt steeped. Apart from that, I'd say swapping the yeast to an English Ale type and replacing the Cascade hops with maybe fuggles or Goldings.
Tweak the boiling schedule to achieve the desired bitterness.
2.2kg dry light malt extract
steeped 250g choc. malt at 70*C then added to boil
60 min boil, 8L SG=1.040
Cascade hop pellets:
40g(60mins)
10g(15mins)
irish moss powder(5mins)
Target IBU=40
wYeast American Ale 2 (George II)
final Volume 19L
dry hopped 15g cascade @ rack
Temp roughly 20*C
OG 1.041, FG 1.010
4.5% ABV
