A beer at 9-10% aint a session beer IMO. Unless you like to fall over alot

How about a Belgian style ale?
1 x Real ale tin
1kg Dry malt extract
1 kg dextrose
Steep, boil & add some (~200g) crystal if you've got it.
T-58 dry yeast, in 19 litres should get you ~8.5%
Doesn't need any hops for this style. Give it 2 months in the bottle, Yummy

That's a HELL of a session beer.

A short & brutal session?
Fun while it lasts maybe but all ends it tears? (or vomit?)
Melbourne man did ask for 9 - 10% so I thought my recipe was quite moderate.

haha f--- yeah
i made a lager with 1kg of dextrose and 1kg of coopers "brew enhancer 1" which is a dex/maltodextrin mix and it was meant to be my session beer.
it came out at over 7% and knocked me stupid. haha.
i currently have a 60L drum full of another batch of it

After the first 30L or so - sometime in the wee hours of the morning, you tend to get a bit of a taste for it...
