A number of good suggestions for Coopers Aus PA here.

See the sticky at the top of the making beer group for some tips.

Cheers,
Greg

Frank I went arse about.
15 brews back I did my first few on dex but was having quite a few 'experienced old HB'ers' telling me telling me they were brewing good beer on white or raw sugar. So I did two brews on white and two brews on raw sugar to compare and I've got 100 bottles of beer that are no where near as nice as my dex and dex/ldme brews. I've just bottled a dex & liquid malt and am currently brewing an all malt with a 1.5Kg can of Morgans pale malt.
Strange but true, a bit more money makes a much nicer beer and the cleaning/bottling effort is the same.

Quick calcs-

Home brand kit $9
2Kg sugar $2
Sundries $1
$12/27 = 0.45c per bottle

Coopers International $13
1.5Kg can Morgans pale malt $8
Sundries $1
$22/27 = 0.82c per bottle

Cheers, Geoff.
