Alright, I just cracked a wheat beer recipe I did and it's shit.

Where did I go wrong?

Did this one:

Brewcraft Bavarian Wheat
1kg Morgans pure liquid wheat malt (no barley)
500g dextrose
125g dry wheat malt
German wheat yeast - not sure exactly what it is but I'm told is a K97 strain
12g goldings, steeped 20 mins
12g hersbrucker, steeped 10 mins

Pitch temp 22c

Average temp 24c.

It's watery, cidery and totally lacking in that creamy wheat beer taste.

I've got one of Brewcraft wheats in the bottle at 1 month 22 days.
Brewed 21l with 1.25kg dry wheat malt and bulk primed with LDME 150g and Dry Wheat Malt 100g

A touch gassy but oh what a wonderful drop. I think I'll do it again real soon now.

I did a wheat beer recently that I'm not too impressed with.

One day it'll be passable and the next fairly ordinary

1 can Morgans Golden Sheaf Wheat
1 can Coopers Wheat Malt (1.5kg - Liquid)
300g Dextrose
120g Maltodextrin
100g Carapils
12g Pride of Ringwood Hops (60 mins)
7.5g Cascade Hops (10 mins)
7.5g Cascade Hops (Dry-hop)
He came dancing across the water.
Cortez, Cortez. What a killer!

I have found slight problems with wheat beers too.

I did a couple of Morgans Golden Sheaf ones over a year ago - great.

Then did one about 6months ago - just ordinary, no real flavour at all, but same recipe.

No reason I could see for it.

Shouldn't your second post have said another three longies, I think I only have two left or did the two longies create a slip of the 'ole fingers?

I think I'll try your recipe.

Still don't know what went wrong with mine

Ah, that'd be a double post not a 2 x 2 bottle session! More's the pity ...

Just finished putting another one down, it really is one of my faves. I should really have some of it around At All Times!

Now, if only somebody would let me know how to post pictures, I have a nice photo for your encouragement.
