Do I leave the gas on

Hi Guys

New time kegger and was wondering once I have carbonated my beer do I leave the gas on pouring presure all the time or just turn it on and off when I want to dispence the beer.

either or.

I leave my gas on all the time.

But alot of people turn it on and off.

If you do leave it on make sure you have no leaks. If you have no leak then either way, but for a balanced system it should be left on.

When I have the keg gassed, I turn the gas on when dispenecing only 25 Kpa.

I have mine at 75kpa. It varies from system to system, so just work out the happy medium.

Too low a pressure: beer goes flat over time.
Too high a pressure: beer gets forced out of tap at too high a rate, causing turbulent flow, effectively shaking it up. Result: heaps of head and flat beer.
