when I reassembled the fermenter tap before putting the latest brew into primary. er...yeah...whoops.

So, now that the black ale I am soon to be bottling may be chock full of chunky goodness, does anyone have any suggestions to try and minimise the amount of crud that may go into the bottles with the sweet sweet beery goodness? Straining it? Just ignore and bottle with extra crud anyways and hope it settles well? Any ideas/tips are much appreciated.

Could always just chew each mouthful a few times so I don't choke on the excess

Rack into another fermenter ( with reducer) and leave for a week or so, then bottle, no more chunks

Relax. Don't worry.

I've given up using them. I don't think they add any value.

Never use one anymore - no difference in the beer.

Fair cop then, thanks all for the tip. I was a little (only a little mind you, it *is* homebrew) worried about the amount of crud that came out when taking some gravity readings, but i shall remove any residual worry with a tall glass of beer. Mine of course.
