I've done a few searches of the site, and this brew seems to be fairly unpopular...

I was thinking of using the Kit with some LLME and adding some hops and grains and anything else people would recommend.
What are some good hops/grains for this kit?

I've only ever used their standard Bitter tin. It seems that you can't do much to ruin it (I almost did once, but a bit of extra age fixed that). My Cupboard Cleaner Bitter is drinking nicely right now.

All I could really offer is to not skimp on the malt and to try it without extra adornments first time around so you know what you're working with.

If this is the green can, i did this on advice from the HBS with 1.5kg of liquid malt.
Not too bad, but needed more.

bought a Coopers bitter and the tin had no yeast, i didnt check and got everything else all cooked up

pitched some cider yeast and the taste is interesting
not bitter, almost like a nut brown ale
like newcastle without the fermaldehyde kick(or whatever that aftertaste is)

b
recommend warping a brew or 2 just to see the possibilities
with an extra fermenter to use, it was fun, and drinking is fun at the end too

Didn't get any useful feedback, so I conjured this out of my own imagination...

Thomas Coopers Australian Bitter + yeast
1.5 Kg Coopers Light Liquid Malt Extract
200g Crystal Grain
15g Fuggles Hops @ 25 mins
15g Fuggles Hops @ 10 mins
10g Fuggles Hops @ 5 mins

If this is a disaster awaiting fermentation, someone please tell me!!!
