Tonight after bottling i took a close up photo of the bottles to see if i could see how clear the Morgans Amber Ale was, when i looked at the pic you could realy see a large amount of white powder residue on them that i couldn't see normaly.
Did i not rince them enough & if not would this hinder the beer flavour ?
Any ideas ???
(By the way the large white section is just left over label)

Inside or outside?
Inside it is yeast wich is electrostaticly clinging to the bottle. turn it a little and it should drop off.
Outside it would be sanitizer residue. Wipe it off

Kev give it a couple of weeks and try one. I always had sanitizer left on the out side however the inside was good. Its already in the bottles you are not loosing anything buy waiting to see.

What is your cleaning procedure?Call me old fashioned, but Ifind 1 cap of bleach in a bath full of water does the trick every time.Use the same water for bottles, fermenter, starter kits etc.Works a treat every time(A lot depends on whether your missus will let you use the bath!)

Yeh,
My procedure is to jet the inside of the bottle with water but I don't loose to much sleep on outside.
If it is the same both sides you may have problems with carbonation

Terryb,
A capful in a bathtub!!! Shit I use half a cup in a sink!!! I have a bottle tree which I drain them on before bottling, but you can bet there is no bugs living in my bottles before I fill them!

I'm with the rinsing in lots of clean water as soon as the bottle is emptied of beer. Scrubbing and/or chemicals only if there is residue - rinsing is quicker too

Same here, give it a quick rince after you finish them or the next day & then just store them up side down.
Just a quick rince in some cleaner then rince with fresh water.
Couldn't be botherd to use the bottle brush.
