ok, I just put a batch down with a recultered Coopers Yeast. about 18hrs after pitching, there is a layer of white foam on top. It looks just like a good head. I've never seen this before, but usually use kit yeast. Id this how the coopers yeast works or am i I infected?

Sounds like a typical Coopers krausen to me. Some of the Coopers yeast really work overtime. I have had the krausen flowing out thru the airlock.
Don't worry about it.
