Does anyone remember the dreadful Tooths KB? A real dog in my opinion. "shake hands with a cold gold" ha. Like VB only sweeter. Tooheys red currently holds the mantle. Tuly gives me the shivers thinking about it . Glen.

Wasn't there a Carlton KB as well?
What did the KB stand for anyway?

CUB still make KB Lager in NSW but it is reasonably hard to find.
Been a long time since I last tried it (literaly years) which probably means it isnt any good, though I wouldnt trust my memory on that :D . Maybe next time I see it I will try one and let you know what its like.

KB ? Kids Beer. Bloody grew up on the stuff. Well, not really. My old man used to drink it though. Saw a bottle at my local the other day. Can't believe they still brew it. Who drinks it ?

Yeah, try one for the team Pete. Rather you than me ;). BTW, is it coincidence you almost share your name with a certain fighter pilot of bad 80's movie fame ?

KB purportedly stood for Kent brewery in Sydney. A real mans beer withe real beer flavour!! not the first time that they'll sell people beer flavoured water. Glen.

I saw cans of it on the shelf in the bottlo the other day. Didn't check the price, wasn't tempted a bit.

When I was little and Dad drank it I was not averse to pinching a swig.

I can recall drinking it in the 70's, when the Navy had it in 26oz cans for 20cents each.
Although strictly speaking the expression "beggars can't be choosers" didn't actually apply, I can tell you I was fairly happy, all things considered, with that deal!

Evo,

Did you know that Tom Cruise actually puked through his mask in that movie when the jet jocks took him up in that Tom Cat.
