So, i'm bringing my kid back from dumplings and noodles in abbotsford, and on the way back, we're stopped at the light at Johnson and Hoddle street - on Johnson, heading west.

I look out the passenger window, and there stuck on a narrow chain link fence is a little sign that reads "TWOMEY T BREWING CO."

At first I was excited, thinking grungy entrance to new and groovily hidden microbrew, this could be a real find" ... followed .5 seconds later by the thought "wait that's just some slack uni student attempt at humour on the front gate leading to their 1 room flat."

Either way i was intrigued so snapped a pic with the moby, couldn't get it any closer as the light just changed:



but i got home and consulted the Oracle, not expecting much, and didn't find anything, except a photoblog entry, w/a close up of the sign, here

So... Twomey T, are you on this forum? What's the story? and when do you open for business?

What people will do for good beer...

Still nothing on Google about this ... The mystery continues.

I should go nail a sign to the fence out the front and see if I can raise a stir.

I will be sure to add "Premium" to the name somehow so that all the bogans will know I am making "good" beer

Yeah, I'm still curious about it.

I looked again at that flickr photo I linked to earlier, and the only development there is that it's now appended to a blog, called "abbotsfordblogger" who seems to know and track all things Abbotsfordian.

So I've written him to ask if he has any other info about Twomey T... I'll post back if he should bother to respond.

Maybe we could all rent some commercial space in Abbotsford, call it the Twomey T Brewing Company, lug in our best homebrew experiments, invite the public in and charge them $8.80 a pint.

The sign for the pub is already done.

Update. The "Abbotsford Blogger" (sounds a bit like a serial killer moniker from a 70's slasher flick ) has written back to say:

"No idea either, and also intrigued! Perhaps I will put a post up (on abbotsford blog) searching for further information."
