Was bored tonight and have a pretty average tasting beer that I think might have been slightly infected.. anyway I saw a jar of honey sitting on the table and decided to chuck some in a glass then pour the beer over it and stir it up.. made it taste a bit better.
Anyway this got me thinking, do you add anything to their beer before you drink it? (About the only thing I could think of thats popular is lemon in corona)

Have been known to put a bit of lime juice in some of my lagers if they are a bit ordinary. It was de riguer in Pommie land when lager was first brought out there.Mind you the stuff they introduced called 5 Star needed a bit of help.

Bit of citrus is fair game with me.
Used to know a bunch that like to add salt.
Still know some that like to add eggs, tomato juice, some shellfish, a bit of whiskey........

For really irresponsible drinking, try a couple of shots of Rum or Bourbon.

Or for something a bit milder than the rum/bourbs, a shot of Stones green ginger wine.

Way back in my Uni days I used to make a beer shandy with Coke to guzzle down after a soccer match. 50% beer 50% coke. Really did the job to quench a thirst. Would then savour straight beers afterwards.

After a particularly heavy session, would often have a dash of lime to take the edge off.
I dont resort to additives now

Yeah, that sort of sh!t is big in England, especially amongst the fairer sex. Lager and lime. Also a shot of rasberry in a snake bite (half lager, half cider) is common. I also recall pouring a few Guinness and rasberry.
What a way to ruin a beer.

When I lived in the UK, I played rugby. One of our rugby trips was to Lithuania and we were given a drink called a Church Window.
The English version of this drink is:
One pint of beer
3 shots of vodka
1 shot of Port
You drink the pint enough to be able to put the all the vodka into it but still leaving a small gap.
You then "depth-charge" the shot into the Beer-Vodka pint...it slowly sinks to bottom.
When you hold it up to light, it looks like a "Church Window" as the port is heavier than the vodka.
Then you had to skull it. All beer at the start, then sweet at the end.
I knew a lot of people that chucked after drinking that.

Try filling the glass halfway with cider, then the rest with beer. Might not taste the best, but it is rocket fuel.....called a snakebite. In some pubs in England, they won't sell it because people get smashed on it to easily.
2 glasses of that, and all will be good with the world, including the taste of the beer.....
