They have cartons of it at wollies liqour for $39.
Pretty good price.
I also understand it's not as cheap as a lot of peoples stella clones.

Usually runs $18.99 for a sixer!

Agree! Stella & Heineken are awful when produced in Australia....
I can spot the imitations from a mile off - Heineken bottles look squater if done in Holland, so I know not to go near the ones with the long necks to them! I really can't handle the aussie one. I have a soft spot for the dutch one.
Becks - well, I love a Becks... funnily enough, I like the German one, but the best Becks I have had to date I bought recently at my local bottle shop and it was made in Turkey... it tasted unreal... best Becks yet.
Thank goodness for parallel importing. Most of your small cafe and restaurants get better deals parallel importing and getting cases of genuine Corona and Heineken for about $19 a case (as long as they buy a pallet) whereas the local stuff is more like $10 more... for an inferior brew. Better still - they get the kudos and snob factor for stocking it!
Rant over
(edit: I can't believe I put a possessive apostrophe in Becks)

I like the dark Heineken! That stuff isn't bad when in NL!
And Turkish Becks! I never really liked the German one, but I'd try Turkish!

For those interested in matters Stella there has been something of an incident in Canada around Stella - Pyssedas has written to the brewery with some helpful suggestions...

Stella used to cost $70 a case but in the past 6 months (or longer), they sell it for $40 in Danmurphy as normal price.

Anyone have any idea where you can buy a slab of Belgian Stella rather than the one produced out of the same brewery that does VB?

Thats cos it used to be imported, the price goes down when its made here for obvious reasons but then so does the quality

Try and find some different sized cans. Normally the odd size bottles or cans are the imports.
Case in point: Heineken - you can get the real stuff if you buy the mini-keg or the 500ml cans.

Minikegs are top stuff for the Heineken. Got me a couple when they were on special for $20 at Liquorland.
On the "imported" beer note Fosters has taken control of Carlsberg and affiliated beers in Australia.
