Rasberry ale-Pilsner

Hey guys thinking of doing a brew similar to a Jamison rasberry ale
next but not a clone really i was thinking of doing
2 tins of Morgans golden saaz pilsner
1 kg ldme or 1.5 lme
1 kg dex
3 kgs steeped and mashed rasberrys into primary
Dry hop 30-40g nelson sauvin or more saaz in secondary
Make up to 50ltrs.
What do you think? Didnt want it too malty hence the dex but i am no expert either!

3 Kgs of raspberrys ?. Punnets of 250 grm usually go for about 6 bucks. Gonna be an expensive mix

I was wrong. Spotted this morning in Woolworths 120 gram punnets at $8.97 each. 25 punnets needed for 3kg, cost $224.25.

500g of frozen raspberries cost about $6. Tis what i use.

They have been blanched though, would that have any effect on the final brew?

Taste damn fine in my raspberry cyser! Also, being frozen they turn to mush when they thaw out, a bit more effort with a potato masher and its game on. I have read that people suggest freezing fresh berries you intend on brewing with.....

I'm planning on getting some cheap over ripe fruit this season from the market if I can.

Yeah 200 bucks is abit steep! I was going to use the frozen type.
Rekon it would turn out any good?

I use frozen to and they are pretty good and alot cheaper than fresh ( obviously)
