Hey all, i joined the forum y/day, bloody top site, good job.
Just wondering if anyone knows a cheaper place to get supplies in Melb, preferably west, I'm cuurntly shopping @ AHB in Richmond. Oh, and don't use the brewing calculator on their website to try and clculate the alc% of ya brew, It's useless. I recently calculated to get 6 1/2% but I ended up with 5%.
Cheers,
Swainy

Try them from any direction!
I'm north and order mine by mail, next day delivery and wrapped up with cold packs to keep the hops/yeast cool AND great service!
Funnily enough I "accidently" discovered the shop today on the way back from taking the family to Scienceworks....couldn't stop though, tired, upset kids

I know I know

, I joined the forum the other day & have been scanning through the posts. It seems G&G are pretty popular, I've only lived in Melb for a few years but been brewing for about 7. I heard about AHB through a mate in Syd (where I used to live), and they were dramatically cheaper than Syd prices so i never bothered to look any further

. I checked out G&G's site thismornig It doesnt seem like they have as wide a range as AHB, and AHB has a flat $6 delivery rate for parcels under 20kg in Melb metro. Although G&G are slightly cheaper on the bulk items such as LDME.

G & G are good for grain and sanitisers and such, but their prices on pots and keg gear is a bit over the top.

Point taken Tipsy- Ross easily wins for kegging gear.
Will check out his grain/hop/yeast prices next ime I'm due for an order- which incidently is reasonably soon.

Transport costs are a killer here.

What resolution is your screen set to?
You need a minimum of 1024 x 768 pixels to see the full screen.
Reset it, and you should be OK.

^^ that said, if you're running a lower resolution, you *should* be able to scroll to see the whole page. Longrasser, what web browser are you using?

Me too, and Google Earth also. Small inconvenience really for getting into one of the best, and probably the best, HB retail sites.
