My FIL wants to do a kit of Coopers Draught to about 3.5% for x-mas for one of my kegs. He wants to use some fresh grain and hops but I am not sure what to use? I was thinking something like:
Carapils
Caramunich II (some of this for sure)
Choc
and for hops:
Newport for Bittering and D Sazz for flavour/aroma.
So, how much of what would you guys use?

I was thinking something like this:
Amount Item Type % or IBU
1.70 kg Coopers Draught (8.0 SRM) Extract 53.97 %
1.00 kg Vienna Malt (Weyermann) (3.0 SRM) Grain 31.75 %
0.20 kg Cara-Pils/Dextrine (2.0 SRM) Grain 6.35 %
0.20 kg Caramunich II (Weyermann) (63.0 SRM) Grain 6.35 %
0.05 kg Chocolate Malt (350.0 SRM) Grain 1.59 %
5.00 gm Newport [11.00 %] (60 min) Hops 5.9 IBU
10.00 gm D Saaz NZ [5.60 %] (Dry Hop 3 days) Hops -
10.00 gm D Saaz NZ [5.60 %] (20 min) Hops 3.7 IBU
Gonna have to use the kit yeast because I have not made a starter for any liquid to go in.
To mash I was thinking 68C for 60 min in the 6 pack esky.

I did this brew today but used only 500g of Vienna and 250g of Caramunich II. I will dry hop the 10g of D Saaz into the keg and hope it comes out good. This batch of D Saaz had a strong aroma of Paw Paw and citrus, I reckon it is gonna be a very tasty brew!
