G'day,
A mate of mine recently got a Spicy Ghost kit for a present and I told him I would brew it up for him.
A big question I have before I receive the kit from him has to do whether it needs to be brewed as a lager or an ale. I just don't have the set up to brew a lager in this weather.

I'm not 100% on what the yeast is, but I believe that it is an ale/lager mix. Therefore it will happily ferment out at ale temps if you can't brew cold.

Brew it as an ale, and you should have some good beer.

I brewed the Spicy Ghost nearly 2 years ago and it was easily the worst brew I have done, initially
so I kept them and I am drinking them now and they are very drinkable, nice and smooth, with a great creamy head
the one thing that did happen when it was fermenting was that it got very got, it reached 30 degrees as we had a long hot spell, about 7 days in the high 30's/low 40's and I just could not keep the fermenter cool
:? :?

I put the brew on last night and it is bubbling away nicely now as an ale. I hope it turns out ok.
