Has any one had the major problem that I am now experiencing?
I brewed Cascade Chocolate Mahogany Porter with Brewmaster no 20 enhancer.
Mothers Milk.
The problem is......................
The bloody wife has taken a liken to it.
What do I do?

Add more hops, it worked on my wife for a while. Problem is she has become a hop head now, and I am a bit over it myself

Hmmmm!!!
That might work as she "doesn't like the bitter taste".

W,
Just before you go adding more hops, I'd be thinking long term, and getting financial approval for your micro-brewery, now.

Unfortunately/Fortunately (depending how you look at it), my girlfriend detests beer and everything it stands for and therefore doesnt understand or want to understand anything to do with it...
It does mean i get to drink it all, but it also means she thinks that i make and drink to much, when its only a normal ammount (couple of beers a night)... And she doesnt understand why i need so many fridges...

We have meetings for people like you James - I attend one as often as possible, this Friday at Grumpys is my next one where i get to talk beer away from the partner.

You need to find a wife like mine (and no, you can't have mine).
She is virtually allergic to alcohol beyond a ½ glass of wine. She doesn't like beer or any other alcoholic drinks.
Terrific too when we go out, we always have a sober driver to get us home.

Quite honestly i dont get what you are complaining about, i would love it if the missus could enjoy a beer with me but she hates it and im yet to find a brew that she really likes so while i keep trying to impress the missus with my brews maybe you should have a good think and appreciate the fact that at least you have something in common

Opportunity knocks. Tell her how much better the beer would be from a kegging system, or how good things would be with a 10 gal herms ag set up. Make hay while the sun shines.
Cheers,
Greg

Now thats a theory i can relate to, i have tried all of this ( except the hermes) and it just made mine think i was even more full of shite than before

she still hates it but i gotta give it to her she never really complains and she always helps me with the cleaning up on brew day so i cant really complain

She wouldn't happen to have a (single) sister would she?!

Bugger, should have read that........
I meant to say, I instructed my wife that I was buying kegs that week no matter what

...yeah right.
The bonus to my wife was no empty bottles draining overnight in the sink. Was sick of the sight of all the longies cluttering the kitchen.

you lucky buggers
My missus drinks more than me and the only beer/brewry work she does is puts the stubbies in the fridge.
No cleaning no bottling. just beers in the fridge to get cold and beers out of the fridge to drink. oh yeah and complains how bad I make beer.
Lucky she's a good cook and good at a few other things
Cheers
Ron

yeah my missus is my beer critic, when i make an excellent one she drinks em all and when i make a shitty one i'm left to drink it. Needless to say after 5 or so years of brewing most of them she likes, and i get to taste them
