Hey ya'll,
Finally got a temperature controller and set me up a brewing fridge. I've got a can of coopers Bavarian Lager from coles for 5 bucks and wondering if anyone has made a good brew with it before. I will be using saflager yeast and a kilo of Liquid or dried malt, any other suggestions? Maybe some carapils grain?

Sorry gaz, my only experience with this kit is a Doppelbock I made last winter. It came out quite good but it was 8-9% ;)

I reckon it would be good with a kilo of the Morgans Chocolate malt (which has a good amount of Munich in it) and a noble hop.

I made a winner with this, was just the kit, a kilo of ldme and (from memory) 20 gm hallertau at 5 mins, was a very nice drop

That Bav turns out really quite well with any noble hop. It also makes a great base for cherry beers.

My favourite kit recipe is almost identical!! I used two plugs of Hallertau, a kilo of LDME and the kit - a lovely drop!

Cheers,
