I'm sorry to be predictable but I couldn't go past the LCPA.. :)

I just re-visited the hotel in the Blue Mountains where I first tasted LCPA about 10 years ago, Id never seen LCPA before and my wife came back from the bar with one for me saying it was cute... I thought.. ohh here we go..

To say I was gob smacked is an understatement... I never knew beer could taste like that..

Anyway sorry to reminisce :)

Out of the others, the Leffe, Hoegaarden and the Pills trio would be the go.

The Bohemian Pilsener and the Rooftop Lager are absolute specials.

I only have them rarely, but it's always a real treat. I would put the Bohemian in front of Rooftop, but only just.

Cheers,

Throsby

Leffe Blonde and Hoegaarden, provided it is Forbidden Fruit or Grand Cru (do I sound like an echo? )

just not much of a major fan of Hoegaarden Wit.

Rooftop Red is also pretty damn tasty :)

Well had a crack at a few of them last night. And for he who asked, the Hoegaarden is the Wit :(

Little Creatures Pils was first of the cab and it went down quite nicely. Bit bland perhaps? Very light in color?
Bohemiem Pils was next and I got hit with an initial metallic after taste from the first few slugs but after that it
got better and better.
Bluetongue Pils was next and it was quite similar to the Bohemiem Pils except had a smoother feel to it?
Then I had the RedRoof Lager........ I'm sorry to say it was a bit strong tasting for my unitiated tastebuds but was smooth to drink.
Lastly I had the Leffe and boy did it taste........weird. Again sorry to you guys who like it but it just wasn't my thing.
Finally I had my own brew and it went down rather well.

I'll give the others a go soon.
Cheers, spatch

I agree that these are both great tasting Aussie beers. Had some Bo Pils last night while doing some pilsner research.

Actually, the first time I had it was at a food festival up here at Airlie Beach. It was the cheapest of the beers that they were selling which first made me try it but then I was hooked for the rest of the afternoon. They had obviously priced it down because it tasted 'funny' to them. The fool behind the bar asked me one time whether I had tasted it, and made a face to suggest that it tasted like shit. Suppose he stuck to his crownies.

Had the final 3 bevvies on Sunday listening to the Hawks smash Adelaide!

First up was the Hoegaarden Witbier and it tasted like the Leffe Blonde
Then the Redback and it was similar again....... what is that odd taste?
Finally was the LCPA...... and it went down pretty damn well.

Will have another taste test soon on some more pilseners perhaps.

Yeah, sure was. What is that tang it has in common with Leffe Bonde & the Hoegaarden Witbier?

Forbidden Fruit was probably the first real belgian I ever tried 8 years ago. I wasn't really too into it.
Only just tried it again last christmas, Bloody gorgeous. How my tastes have changed. (all at the expense of my wallet of course)
