Just put together this brew today using a couple of my new ingredients and doing a stove top boil, I actually used one of the little portable Gasmate burners that use disposable butane cans(cheap as) and it works a treat and hardly uses any gas....
1kg LME
150gr Pale Crystal Malt(steeped 30min @ 67c)(rinsed again with 67c water to get last of goodies)
25gr Cascade Pellet Hops(20 min)
1.7kg Morgans Stockmans Draught (@ flameout)
12gr American Ale Yeast (pitched @ 24c)
Maybe dry hop with 15gr Cascade when I rack.
Had a little taste after checking OG and the flavour already is so much better that just K&K...

I was going to, no problems with capacity to do it(all extract), have just been putting that recipe into beersmith and researching what has to be done there, seems quite a easy tool.
It'll work out well actually as my local HBS sells LME, DME, and Unhopped Lager Extract. They are about $5 per kg and the LME & DME are Coopers Extract. So for 3kg extract, it will only be $15. Hops are cheap as from ross so will be crafting my own varieties and will work out better than paying $15 for a kit plus the other bits and pieces, aswell, kits have their own flavours which I wont have to worry about...

Well done CB!
One of my favourite brews was almost the exact same recipe, but I used the Coopers Pale kit (green tin from memory) instead.
Cheers,
TL

Oh cool,
The only thing I can say I may of done wrong after researching a little more, was to skim the impurities off the top of the boil, will this make a big difference/cause any dramas????

Next beer is going to be All Extract, prob work on a recipe tonight with the ingredients ive got.
Time for some individuality...

Hello all,
Well its been in the bottle 2 weeks now and cracked one to try, bloody beautiful, tastes so much different to just K&K..
Just the use of the Crystal, some hop addition and malt extract really gave the beer a different dimension..
You can also really taste that Crystal Malt in the Beer, well the better flavour anyway...
Just did my 2nd Full Extract Brew Yesterday and cant wait till thats ready, I also have a full extract german pilsner lagering, certainly much better tasting beer.
