You un-cap and empty down the sink a sixer of Crown Lager that some twit brought to a bbq (then drank your homebrew) cause you need the empties to fill up with decent beer!

You`ve had a bit too much homebrew and you start to imagine scenarios like the above.

How about "You force yourself to scholl a 6 pack of VB to get the empties for your ready to bottle brew"

You haven't even built your new house yet but you have the shed on the block of land and are collecting benches/sinks/fridges to build the brewery.........

Your partner sees a shiny object or utility and quickly places herself between you and it, obscuring your line of sight, just so you can't waste 30 minutes thinking of how you could possibly, somehow, maybe incorporate it into your brewing process.

haha, I've done the same.

I've told the missus that we will be homeless when we sell up and the new house is being built.
She reckons the shed better be decked out, insulated, lined etc. incase we need somewhere to live.

I agreed with her 8)

Don't forget you need a new fridge to match the new house.

I've gotten away with that one and now have a great fermenting fridge for the shed ready to go!!!

Now if I can only work out why we need a new chest freezer???

You can justify the new freezer by saying you need to produce vast amounts of ice
to cool down your wort or otherwise spend vast amounts of money buying Megaswill. You could
always say the money you save on buying in bulk for the freezer could be used for 8) a holiday.

When I purchased my new chest freezer, the wife asked what it was for and I replied "to brew beer in"
I really should put a bit more effort in justifying my brewing purchases :D

She wasn't impressed :(

Get a whole carcass of lamb under the premise you are going to save money and have really top meat for a bit - definitely needs a chest freezer.

Or get a freezer and a pet sheep called Lambchop, doesn't matter if you get attached that way, you get a lawn mower and you can run it under the hops like in NZ. And you just happen to find another use for the freezer.

You check the weather forecasts hoping that there will be no day over 20C till you bottle.

And you eventually realise you need a TempMate from Ross to control your fermentation temperatures.
I know Ross has already loaded Santa's sleigh up with mine, so I'll be doing some wiring up on the afternoon of 25/12.

Good one Warra,
but while I'm still in the stone age of brewing here's another one, (happened a few minutes ago)
missus SAYS!
"WHERE HAVE ALL MY TOWELS GONE?"

(30C yesterday)

You wake up in the middle of the night with ideas on how you can quit your job and make money from beer!

At 2am as the crowd in the bar is winding down you notice the huge amount of empty bottles piled up in every corner and see there are loads of beautifully thick and solid crown top stubbies (Duval shaped with out the curves in the neck). In a half drunken state you convince the bar owner to have the servers round up a bagful of them for you to take home in exchange for a couple bottles of homebrew next time you go there...... yes, I did this last night!

When your mates constantly nag you to go to the pub and you tell them you are too busy with your new hobby of needle point.
You don't want to tell my mates there are large quantities of quality beer fermenting, ageing and chilling beer in the fridge in the shed. They would never leave. Needle point seems a better excuse.

Either my girlfriend has a homebrewandbeer username of WSC and is describing me, or WSC has cameras in my bedroom...
