Re: Just threw together this partial
Great to see brewers having a go at improving your beer and getting some fresh grain/malt into your brew.
It was brave of you to toast off your own grain. I'd personally just buy crystal or pre toasted malt. But good on ya!

Re: Whats the best sort of yeast to use?
Does anyone else use Super6 yeast?
It takes 6kg Sugar not 8kg and NO smell during ferment.
Makes 3.8+L of 92%ABV consistently. It is a wine base yeast and you can actually filter your wash and drink/mix it 16%.
Just need to ferment at 28C, using a heat belt or pad...unless you live way up north ...

Supremacy Recipe Kits- Brewz 2 You
Here's my Supremacy Recipe Kits-
They are tried & proven to be the best beers I've ever made.
I entered 3 of them in Manjimup Cherry Fest, just to see how they faired.
They took out Best of Show & earned me Best Brewer with the highest average score.

Saturday Brew Day- Brewz 2 You
G'day brewers,
Every Saturday I hold a free brew demo.
Brewing starts around 3pm & is all done by 5pm.
I use the most basic of equipment & do not show off any expencive contraptions.
It's not a sales day, just an opportunity to see the basics of grain brewing, have a laugh & maybe learn ...

375ml or 750ml?
Get your local grog shop to hang on to a heap of the ones for Corona/Crown/Grolsh bottles?
Thats where I get all mine. As for 750ml king brown/tallies I use the wine/champas 6 pack cartons with the cardboard divider in it. Again from my local bottle'o.

Re: German dark lager advice please
Good advice all round guys!
In my experience I have found that these darker beers have been far to acidic. To get a really drinkable dark lager I would recommend a small abount of Calcium Carbonate to raise up the PH otherwise there will be too much astringency.

Re: Spirit recipes (bourbon)
I've been making a bit of bourbon lately. The Chips or shavings of the used bourbon barrles are no where near as good as the Chunks. They're large cubes about 2cmx2cm and have much much more bourbon flavour to them.
They are from Jack Danelis & Jim Beam Distillarys RRP is $39.95- $34 at B2Y

New Home Brew Shop in WA
Hi all,
I have been brewing at home for just on 12 years now & have spent a couple of years working in a Micro Breweries.
After years of dreaming about 'my brew shop' I decided to take the chance & do it.
I cant say it was easy by any stretch of the imagination, but I've done it!

Re: bundy red rum
By the taste of it, bundy Red is with Vanilla.
So you can just add a little vanilla essence or get yourself some American Oak chips and soak the spirit in that for 10 days before using an essence 5-8g oak per Litre
I have mixed bundy with vanilla coke and it tastes just like the red version.
