Hi everyone
This is my first post and I would like to share a recipe for the best lager I have ever made.

Ingredients.
1 Cascade golden harvest lager kit
1 Kilo of dextrose
1 Kilo of light liquid malt
2 Morgans hersbrucker finishing hops (12 g bags)

Method.
Boiled/simmered hops(ripped open those tea bags and just poured the pellets in) in about 2 Litres of water for roughly one hour. Turn stove off and add dextrose, malt and kit. Put in fermenter add water and ferment as usual.

I made this one because I found that the cascade lager nice tasting but lacking. The beer has been in the bottles for three weeks and I cracked one open to see what it was like and even at this early stage it is excellent. Nice full body with a strong malty after taste. I think next time I will use a 50g bag of cascade hops, as I think that it needs to be a bit more bitter to cut throught the maltyness. I called it a killer cause it is around 6.7%, but If the dextrose was left out I reckon it would be around the 4.5% mark.
