How much priming sugar did you add initially and what temps have the bottles been stored at?

Buster, what type of bottle, plastic or glass. I've found that the plastic lids sometime need to be on pretty tight.

Hi Buster, I'd say you haven't used enough priming sugar. 7 gms for 750ml bottles therefore you should have put 14gms for the 1.5lt ones you used. I'd open up a couple and add the extra 7gms, wait 2 weeks, if successful do them all.

What yeast did you use and what were the OG and FG readings? Even with the lower priming amount, the brew shouldn't be flat, just well under-carbonated.

Have you tried this?

Also, can you confirm that there is absolutely no carbonation in any bottles of this cider and that they are flat as tacks?

If you squeeze a bottle is it nice and firm? Are they all the same firmness?

Have you used these bottles before with no problem or is it the first time brewing in them?

How long was it in the fermenter after fermentation finished and before bottling?

Cheers,

Oliver

As I couldn't find my sugar bottling scoop when I bottled that apple mush cider brew I just put a tea spoon in the first few bottles then decided to double up on the remaining bottles. Yea some bottles had no bubbles at all and the others had that much I had to gently prise the crown seal to let the pressure drop enough. I found with the first bottle that was over carbonated by the time it stopped spewing out I lost close to a 3rd of the longneck. Anyway bubbles or no bubbles that was one sweet brew and after my lager brew I'll be breaking open that 22kg bag and making a heap more cider.

Cheers Bryan
