Golden syrup in GB

Postby gazpachos0up » Sunday May 20, 2007 9:27 am

I'm thinking, not sure why, to put a jar (500ml) of golden syrup in my Coopers ginger beer kit. Also adding fresh ginger, juiced then boiled 20mins with a stick of cinnamon. And a kilo of brown sugar.
Do you think the syrup with do anything flavour wise... or will it just ferment out?

When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading 8)

Don't do it. 500g will completely overpower your GB, leaving a syrupy/molasses flavour. Maybe try 100-200g instead.

100-200g is definately good advice!

500g will taste bloody terrible.
