Beer Filters.

Postby Sethanon » Monday Jan 17, 2011 7:31 pm

Hi all,

I've been brewing for some time now and have just branched into making my own full grain mashes. I had an old filter that i inherited awhile ago and it's starting to pack it in. I've been looking at new ones to purchase and drawn up some designs of my own the the hopes of saving some cash but hopefully not quality. has anyone on here made their own before with some success? I've found a style of filter I think might work any one have any thoughts on this filter?

and it's specs are found here

The idea is to get a small water filter and pump the beer from the secondary fermenter through the filter system and then into the clean primary before bottling.

Cheers for the help/suggestions

Colin.

That "water filter" in your link is a "purerfier" as well, it has active carbon in it.
You just need a good cartridge filter like the one Bum posted.
