Dont want to buy a mill till I know all grain is really for me. If I buy my grain crushed and store it in food grade white buckets, how long will it last me

Get enough grain for 1 batch and see if its for you...

How many brews do you think you'll do before you will know if its for you or not???

cracked grain will store pretty much the same as biscuits. If your container is airtight & kept cool, the grain will keep fine for many, many months. Like biscuits, if the storage is not satisfactory, they will become soft (slack is the term for grain) & will result in poor efficiency & flavour.
