Coopers Bitter

I have put down a Coopers Bitter there normal off the shelf supermarket type and it looks like dog poo. I have done a Morgans Bitter before and it didnt look like this it was golden in colour. Is this normal for the Coopers Bitter to be very dark. I only added coopers sugar mix to the brew so if any one knows please help,

It ain't dog poo mate, it is the Brew that I do most of, If you have done it to the instructions I reckon you can't go past it! It is a dark beer almost like black and tan, but I love it. I find it is a better beer if you can keep it for at least 3 months, something that I find hard to do, I used to just brew it with sugar, but now I use the Coopers Brew enhancer 2, I reckon it has a lot better head and head retention with that than sugar. It is hard to know some times what is the best scenario, because of the difficulty in keeping the temp. under control, I will be much more of an authority on that after I finished my temperature controlled brew room, but whatever you do with that....don't ditch it!!!!!

Thanks R.M. I wont be throwing it away I though it was one of those golden looking biiters in the mould of say VB not that I like VB but I look forward to trying it now.

If you are into the Coopers Heritage Brews, they have a bitter in there too. that is also a bitter, bitter alright that is!

Oh and meant to say, that is a lighter colour like commercial beers, I think the one you are doing is based on the pommy bitter, you know,"I'll have a pint o' bitter Ta"
