Irish Moss help

Postby BeerKiller » Thursday Feb 03, 2005 4:49 pm

I'm using Irish Moss for the first time and would like to know if I strain it out of the wort before racking to the fermenter or if it stays in during the primary fementation ?
Any help appreciated, I've still got an hour and 15 minutes of the boil left before I need to worry about it

The Irish Moss will drop to the bottom of your boiler with all the hop muck and protein haze when you chill the wort before you transfer it to the fermenter, so straining isn't necessary.
